About Harbour Commons
Harbour Commons Arts Collective is an Ontario not-for-profit corporation based in Toronto, helping artists connect, share their work, develop their skills, and take part in the wider creative community.
Through exhibitions, community events, creative workshops, and practical artist support, we make participation in the arts more accessible and collaborative. Our programs create spaces where artists can meet one another, reach new audiences, build confidence and connections, and find new ways to grow their practice.

Why We Exist
Artists can face plenty of barriers beyond the work itself: limited opportunities to exhibit, difficulty reaching new audiences, lack of practical support, or simply not knowing where to begin building connections within the local arts community.
Harbour Commons exists to make those pathways easier to access. We create approachable ways for artists to meet, learn, share their work, and connect with people and organizations that can support their growth, with particular attention to those who are newer to Toronto or have fewer established networks.
What Guides Us
Open Doors
We make it easier for artists and community members to find a way in, especially when they are new to the local arts scene or don’t already have established networks.
Build Connections
We bring artists, audiences, volunteers, venues, and organizations together to build relationships, exchange ideas, and create new possibilities.
Create Real Opportunities
We focus on things people can actually take part in: exhibitions, events, workshops, practical learning, and ways for artists to share and develop their work.
Who We Serve
Harbour Commons is open to artists and creative people at different stages of their practice, from those just beginning to those looking for new ways to share their work, meet others, and reach wider audiences.
We place particular emphasis on people who may have fewer established connections within Toronto’s arts community, including newcomers to the city, emerging and self-taught artists, and others still finding their place in the local creative community.
